Alisha explores two diet mindsets to avoid: the 'reward system,' which links food to good behavior, and the 'oh screw it' mentality, which stems from all-or-nothing thinking and perfectionism. She aims to help listeners break up with dieting and achieve guilt-free eating.
Alisha shares eight personal lifestyle shifts she's experimenting with for women over 35, including rethinking alcohol, prioritizing sleep, and aiming for 30g fiber daily. She also discusses dialing in protein, altering coffee habits, embracing carbs, shifting from bootcamp to strength training, and adopting a 'rest-and-digest' mindset.
DEXA scans are highlighted as an important tool for women to consider before a fracture occurs, indicating proactive bone health management.
The discussion covers the roles of estrogen and progesterone, dangers of osteoporosis, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), bioidentical hormones, and the benefits of nutrition and resistance training.
